broken diffs are sometimes the result of improper driving skill or technique.....

Not sure I follow you on the "blame the car for the driver" comment. I was just saying that an S2K equipped with all of those things might be capable of a low 12 second pass at the 1/4th mile, but it's unlikely that someone who isn't either a professional driver, or drag races every weekend will see those times.

However the car will be blisteringly quick (top speed will be limited though).

And I don't doubt that a S2K with just gears CAN hit 13.3s, but I was just using you as an example of someone who drag races more than most, but still doesn't have one of those timeslips under your belt to show how much practice and skill it takes to run the times that some people are throwing around as if they are given. I didn't realize that you'd only had a few passes with the gears though.
that makes sense to me. you made it sound like it wouldn't happen.

13.7 stock;13.2 with gears;13 flat with gears +I/H/E/;12.2-12.5 with SAC added.!!!
I have seen numerous posts where you are insistent that an S with I/H/E and 4.56 gears will run the 1/4 mile 13 flat. Where the hell are you getting that from ? Fact or fiction or just your assumption ? That sure won't happen at my elevation.

Stock is 13.7s.
4.56 gears,will cut 0.5s.;you're down to 13.2s.
I/H/E will get you another 10 -12 WHP(conservative enough???),wich will cut another 0,2s.;you're down to 13 flat.easy.

10-12 horsepower won't cut .2 seconds. lol hate to say it, but. you'll be lucky if it cuts .1 seconds. heh

So,if gears cut 0.5 from your 1/4 time,would you say,they feel like an added 50WHP ???
I would say,they feel(and I said FEEL,)more like 25.!!!

unfortunately that's an apples to oranges comparison that would be difficult to quantify

Has anyone actually run their car with a SC, and the 4.XX gear set? I see a lot of "you would", "you should" but no one with an actual time slip, or vid. Driving a FI'd car down the 1320 is not as easy as some make it sound, I speak from experience.

Let's see those slips, or better yet vid's!
