Now that I have experienced how the S2K handles the heat - NOT! , I am more convinced than ever that an intercooler is a must, if only to get through the summer driving season without getting too frustrated.

I have been meaning to call comptech and ask again about the intercooler, but have not gotten around to it. Last time I talked to Mike B., he said they were planning to design an intercooler for the S2K but that it was on the backburner for the foreseeable future.

If there is enough interest from us SC owners and we can demonstrate the demand, maybe they will move this to the frontburner - anyone else feel the need?

 

Aren't they still working out some minor problems in the SC? That could be what's delaying them. Also, I think the demand for the SC is keeping them pretty busy. Don't they only make like 2 kits a month?

I just purchased a black S2K about a month ago and am curious to find out how your SCs are holding up. What other mods did you have to do to accommodate the SC? Is the extra HP causing any driveline problems? Are the SCs reliable? Cost? Do you know of any reputable places in Georgia who will install them?

Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, yes, if I was to install a SC, I would also be interested in the Intercooler.

BTW, I talked to Comptech today, on an unrelated issue, but asked about the status for the intercooler. They explained that they have put it on the back-burner. They had actually been working on their NSX, adding an intercooler - and it was not adding any (or enough) HP. They also explained that they had worked with increasing the PSI of the SC during their design phase and that as they raised it they had low end torque but lost the power in the high end. So it looks like there might not be a boost upgrade in the future after all.
