What kind of jobs do you kids have if you've got SC'ed S2000s when you're 16?

you need money.

but seriously, if you want to go fast, learn to drive... and learn to drive fast. an SC just multiplies the trouble you'll get yourself into. if you want to compete with the drag racers... well, once you get the SC, I know I'll have some repeat customers wanting new diff's. =D

well, its actually their parents who spoil them.

...and sometimes its okay and sometimes its dangerous. you KNOW with no experience in this car it will lead to a few off road excursions if not a totalled car or two. it does happen. it doesn't mean this car is too much for them, its not. its not that powerful, but it isn't short of horses. the issue here is the balance of the car - its great for experienced drivers who favor a 50/50 balance, but for those with no experience it can be very dangerous.

so if you do get one when you turn 16 - all I can say is, go to the track, go to an autocross and learn to drive it, learn how it will slip away from you, learn how it will spin out - and most of all, learn on these closed courses so you know how to recover it in the real world when you aren't pushing it near 10/10ths but when you think you are. its the best investment you can make to go faster.
