you know the funny thing is that in that picture above...its totally obvious the fire hose could have just as easily gone around the front of the car, on top of the hood, swung around the back and on top of the trunk lid, or something like that.

BUT, I'm glad they smashed through the windows! It's the like the firefighter's way of saying, THERE'S A REASON WHY YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSE TO PARK IN FRONT OF FIRE HYDRANTS!!!

Guess after looking at that pic I've got my answer to the question about them laying the hose on the pick up as being no accident.

Laughed my ass off when I seen this in Backdraft. If I was a fireman Id probably let the hose leak in the interior a while too just to be sure they got the point.

BTW I know Id rather my windows blown out then have my hood trashed.

Well I sort of had similar experience and luck as well except it was couple of years ago.
Apparently one of the car in the pay parking lot caught a fire and the engine bay was engulfed in flame and the car was just 6ft away from my beloved S.
Holy... and I caught that when I left my girlfriend's place.
I ran to my car like hell and drove away like a banshee. Two people were trying to put out the fire and I felt bad I couldn't help but getting outta there.
