Default SCCA racing on Speed channel

i watched the SCCA racing on Speed channel last night at to my surprise there were a large amount of S2000's racing a couple other types of sport compacts. (RX8, S2000, Cobalt..) but the Cobalt spanked everyone and a S came in third. anyone catch this race? i had no idea those cobalt's were so quick

FWIW the Cobalt that finished in 2nd place in T3 was disqualified after the race.

I recorded it. I remember hearing that one of the commentators said that the two yellow Cobalts (first and second place) were built by the same builder. There was atleast one other Cobalt SS in the field that didn't do as well.

I found this topic, "Cobalt SS wins 2008 SCCA Runoffs in T3", on a Cobalt site.

i watched it, man did anyone else see the front tires on the cobalts after the race? Totally shredded!!!

I was disappointed that an s2000 didn't win, especially given the large number of them in the race.

what were the qualification rules for this race? Anyone know how modified the engines are allowed to be? I was wondering how much boost the winning cobalts were running..
