That's the catch here. They are new in box, but the "stay fresh" date is sept 03. I was under the impression that these were hard to come by, but I guess they are readily available. I like having a harness though, but I do want to do it safe, and in case I do autocross or racing, i need whatever I have to meet regs. That's what I'm researching as we speak about rollbars thanks to wing's thread. I know that some people think that it is wrong to put them in a stock seat, but I can afford a lot of things, but new seats do not fit into my budget. I like having the big dogs of this site and the S2K world here to school me on my no-no's.

Stratocaster- Didn't I talk to you about my J's GT Wing on S2KCA? Some vandal broke a piece off one of the end plates just before I was supposed to sell it to some prelude guy, so I'm having custom aluminum end plates made so no one can breal them off again, and because it is the easiest thing to make them out of.

Yes sir, that was I. What did you want for that wing again? I still need to get one for the race car.

I wasn't so sure I was going to get rid of it, but once I get the plates for it $220 with out the plates $150 plus shipping. I'll let you know or you let me know.

even with a rollbar you aren't going to be able to use a 6pt harness with the stock seats.

I've been to HMS and seen their crash test videos with different seat styles and harnesses. If your seat doesn't have the proper pass through for the harness (as the S2000 seats do NOT), a harness could be fatal. The straps will go around the side of the seat and not hold you in. Somebody died recently in a porsche using harness with stock seats that are not meant to be used with a harness.

Yeah I went the cheap route

GFL rollbar that I installed myself and a buddy club seat + rails. Both fairly inexpensive.

You can pass them though the center of the headrest. I know not to put them around the sides of the seat. I was just thinking about installing them as a 4 point since I don't really want or need the anti-submarine belt.

Passing them through the center is not safe.
