Default scraping, bone stock

Hi i was just wondering, my car is completely stock and in some parking lots with steep driveways my front bumper scrapes. Now i know that s2ks are just plain low cars, but i'm wondering if any other stock 00' to 03' out there scrape, because my friend with a my04 said he never scapes. Is my front just lower then it's supposed to be? I mean it doesn't really look that low to me, and there's only 19k miles on the car.

thx,
bigegg

I scrape too, and I'm in a 2005. Maybe your friend is just careful about what parking lots she goes to.

And slow down to a crawl as you're hitting the slope.

Regarding your friend with a MY04, I have a stock MY04 and I scrape on steep inclines (if I don't slow down and go at an angle as suggested above). I don't know how folks who lower their cars can drive anywhere.

It's an art form

This isn't an SUV, you have to be careful of elevation changes if you don't want to scrape up the bumper. Crawl over everything like a steep drive entry or speed bump and hit at an angle as described above.

Regardless how careful you are, once in a blue moon you will scrape something but it can be more or less avoided.

It isn't that hard. You just slow down and take things at an angle. When you can't go in at an angle, then you just do it slow so if you scrape you're only hitting the parts of the car that aren't visible

After doing it for a little while it becomes second nature.

I bought one of these and I'm so much happier for it. when I scrape, I'm like "Who cares?!" it doesn't show, and my paint is completely protected. I also like the way it looks.

David McCune is a good guy who runs a good business. I've bought more than a few items from him.
