I bought one of these and I'm so much happier for it. when I scrape, I'm like "Who cares?!" it doesn't show, and my paint is completely protected. I also like the way it looks.

David McCune is a good guy who runs a good business. I've bought more than a few items from him.

Looks like it's pre-04 only.

Any plans for an 04+ version?

I have a steep driveway and face this challenge almost daily. At first I thought the angled approach would be best but I learned that approaching the incline head on works the best. In this way I can get up my driveway without scraping. Taking an angle, I would bottom out so badly that the wheels would spin due to bottom contact with the ground.

All this could be specific to my driveway geometry but you may want to give it a shot.

When I bought my S2K I did think it was impossible to scrape the bumper but now with lowering of
about 1 inch, I don't scrape anymore. Just as other guys are saying slow down and take the angle.
It is sometime uncomfortable at place where enterance and exit is small, because when you take an
angle it does also take a space for other cars to enter/exit.

Yup, slow down, drive at an angle, and hope for the best. My '02 front bumper is scraped to hell (some of it visible) but oh well...

last night I heard a scraping sound while I was, slowlly, in an angle, driving out of my drive way, was like F@#$ oh shit! (my MY05 is 2 days old)

my previous car is a lowered 97' GTI VR6 Drivers Edition, its very low and GTI has a big crashing zone, but still barely cleared that part of the drive way when going in an angle. Front lip will be totalled if I go head on....

I jumped out of the S and check the lip immediately after I park it.
WTF?! To my suprise i cant find any damage!!!!

Ohhhh, its just the front mudgard!? (I have a front mud-gard? nice!! and it wasnt scratch anyways, I can feel its still smooth underneath!!!

makes me 100 times happier than 30 sec ago

My muffler scrapes on my driveway, not my bumper. At least it doens't dammage paint, and it's an excuse to eventually replace the exhaust
