Just scratched my leather. Not really bad, But it's their. I tried this leather cleaner, just scrubbing the shit out of the scratch to blend it in. But nothing. Anyone have some good tips on fixing this?

Try following up with a good leather conditioner like Lexol.

I'll ask the experts at Townsend what can be done. But they're closed until Monday.

ace: You might check "Leather Rejuvinator for Neglected Interiors" by Griot's
Garage: http://www.griotsgarage.com/index.jsp

For repair, I just pulled this up via Google:

http://www.leatherrepairkits.com/

I haven't tried either, but the Griot's automotive products I have are first class.

I have a nasty scratch in my leather bolster. The surface of the leather is pulled up in little triangles for a distance of about 2 inches. The guys at the motor trimmers said they can fix it so that you won't notice. I'm getting it done on Wednesday and I'll let you know the outcome. Infact, I'll even take before and after pictures.

Don't know. It's part of a whole swag of leather stuff they are doing including a console cover and shift boot.

I managed to scratch the passenger seat bolster on my then-new '01 (I was glad I did it and not someone else so I had no one but myself to blame). I got it fixed by a local outfit that the Acura dealer uses and it's virtually unnoticeable. The scratch was pretty deep and 3 inches long - lotsa flaps, etc. No way I was gonna be able to fix it myself.

The end result was well worth the $60 it cost to have it done. Came to my house and took a couple of hours. He said he used a Super Glue-like adhesive (I suspect it's more flexible than Super Glue) to get the tabs anchored down and then spent the rest of the time coloring/blending it in. You have to know that it's there to see it, even up close. He did say that it was a good thing it was in the passenger seat since it would get less wear and would thus last longer. A driver's seat scratch, depending on where it's located, might have to be redone a few years down the road (if it still bothers you)...

Rick, any word back yet. I'm interested in what the experts have to say on how to repair a scratch.
