Default Search is offline - question about JDM S2000 wheels?

My friend is buying an S2000, and he had heard something about JDM wheels for the S2000 which are lighter than the USDM wheels.. Search function is offline at them moment, so sorry if this is an old question... Can anybody confirm this, or is this a rumor?

Thanks in advance,

- C

JDM wheels ARE lighter. and they are 6 spoke. you can likely do a manual search through the old group buy section to get more info. you may need to scroll back a half a year or more though.

Another thing to note: the JDM wheels are made by BBS while the USDM wheels are made by Enkei.

The 6-spoke JDM wheels are forged, and made by BBS. They're identical in size and offset to the stock 5-spoke wheels, and will save you about 15 lbs as a set (i.e. 3 or 4 lbs lighter per wheel). I think they're available from one or more of the board sponsors -- try looking at their websites. They're not cheap though (~$2500 maybe?). The design is also kinda quirky: the spokes are all "twisted" in the same direction (looking at the wheel), so on one side of the car they twist "forward", and on the other side "backward".
