Default Seat Locks Installed

I recently purchased seat locks from Pete. I'll rate Pete as a top man. The transaction couldn't have been easier, and the product is hight quality.

For those of you on the fence about buying seat locks, I'll urge you to do it immediately. I'm mechanically challenged, and was able to remove the seat bolts in less than ten minutes. It's not surprising seats are stolen as they're easier to remove than a radio.

I appreciate there is some controversy about whether they'll be 100% effective or just an invitation to have your car vandalized. My position is simple: I'll take the risk if it frustrates a thief.

Thank you again, Pete for a great job, and a superior product!

Well, I've never heard of anyone getting their seats stolen with seat locks, so that's a good thing!

How much do those babies run? And can't you pay a few bucks extra to get the sticker for the windows?

Anyone got a pic of the sticker mounted on the window? I'd like to see how much it stands out.

And I wonder how much it'd cost to weld the seats and if someone would make a "my seats are welded" sticker...

I think welding seats would be a bad idea. When you want to run a racing seat later or need the unit reupholstered, you'd be kicking yourself.

Just do a little tack weld, should be able to remove it fairly easily if you had too but hard enough to where a thief wouldn't bother.

Every post about a slashed top to steal seats seems to end in 1 of 2 ways...

1) They slashed my top, and I discovered my seats were gone.

2) They slashed my top, discovered I had seat locks, and slashed the hell out of the front and backs of my seats out of frustration.

is insurance going to pay for new seats due to the slashing, or pay to have them reupholstered?

Worst case they slash your seats when they find out they are locked, same result for you (seat replacement), but at least the thief didnt get anything out of it. That would make me sleep a little better

If a thief broke into 3 s2k's with locks.....I'd think he'd be very discouraged. Thief's are cowards and do not like complications, nor risks breaking into something and not getting anything for it..
