Default Seat mods?

I've heard of people doing seat mods to s2000's....everything I've heard was not from well-informed people so I'm not even sure they exist.

But is this possible? How is it done? I know there isn't shit for room to move the seat back? I'm not too tall, but I would like an s2k and it would be my DD if I got one, and it's just too small for me to take long drives in. I don't have enough legroom.

Yes, thank you, one of the problems that I have are my knees barely clearing the steering wheel.

Btw guys, I have used the search, I just can't really find crap.

So is that what people talk about when they say seat mods? lowering the seat?

I am not positive but "J's Racing Super Low Seat Sliders " might help. I am not sure if this works with the stock seats or not. You can check this out at www.aj-racing.com Hopefully someone chimes in with more details on this.

Details are kinda hard to come by.. I had my seats stolen and I'm replacing with after market. I have already purchased a Mugen rail (pretty much the only in stock low profile rail to be had anywhere) and I have been trying desperately to find out if it will work with a Sparco Roadster 2... I have posted a few times and nobody replies. I'm ordering the seat anyway, I hope it works.

Do the J's Racing seat sliders work for the stock seats? I love the stock seats...they just prop my 6'3'' frame a bit too high. (Knees in the wheel).

This is a great reference thread and I know lots of people who have made this mod to their seat.

I made this mod and am happy with the results, but I do have to point out a few things. I did not like the hammer technique for changing the mount point in the metal seat bucket, so I cut out a few brackets and mounted them on bolts so the height could be regulated and made perfectly even from side to side. I also want to point out, because my method was precise don't be fooled by wild claims of 1.5" drop or more. I got no more than .75" drop because if I went lower the seat would crush into the floorboard and zero seat travel was available.
