I'm 5'9" and only 145lbs, so I have no trouble whatsoever. My friends, however (on average, 5'11" and 200lbs) have a hard time getting into the car, and find it a "numbing" ride, even on short 45-minute drives. They say it "makes their ass sore."

They've found that if they quit trying to "lounge" in my seats, and sit properly upright, the lower back pains (and ass pains, as well), are nonexistant.

I have to have a lumbar pillow in my Impreza. The GC6 (body code for the '93-'01 Impreza models, including the '98-'01 2.5RS), particularly the RS which of course I own, has godawful excuses for seats. The RS seats were a bit more supportive than those from the other Imprezas, but if that's true, I fear for what the lesser Imprezas had to deal with.

Now, the '02 and '03 RS/TS (an RS in wagon form)/WRX wagon and sedan have much, much better seats. Not as nice as the Euro. or JDM ones, but they're pretty cozy, in my opinion. The WRX seats differ from RS/TS in that they have side airbags, but otherwise they're identical.

I'd swap some into my car, but apparently they sit a bit too high, especially on the passenger side. Might not be so awful, but I already get a "sitting on" vs. "sitting in" feeling with the car, I'd hate to worsen it. Although, with a more supportive seat all around, maybe I wouldn't mind so much.

seats are like a dream to me... the area by my ribs really keep me in the seat well especially when turning quickly.

Personally, I find the seats extremely comfortable, and because my S is a daily driver, I'm usually on long freeway drives every week. These are race car seats, y'know...and I really enjoy them, and I'm 5'10" 155 lbs.

This is a special feature that helps to stretch the length of time between potty breaks by squeezing your cheeks together.
