secret compartment?

yeah. he showed me the "vertical" compartment between the seats, so i thought that was it. don't think he knew about the "secret" compartment. in general, i knew more about the car than he did, cuz i'd read consumer reports, c&d, combed the internet, etc. not even the owner's manual mentions the secret compartment.

My manual did... made reference to it in atleast 2 places... and they gave me this quick startup guide...

Man, people sure have changed. When I got my MY00, there were a couple of threads about the "secret compartment" and no one would say were or what it was. Had a lot of us wondering if we even knew what it was. Then to find out it was the upper glove compartment was a big let down!

The salesman showed me, he knew all about the car. However, when you open it, the lid falls closed again. It ought to stay open on its own until you shut it, doesn't seem to.
