Default Secret compartment door problem

my top was replaced under warranty due to tear above passenger head.

now with top folded the secret compartment's cover doesn't opens fully upright but only ~45 degrees and of course can't hold itself in opened position.
the windblocker always was in now is in UP position.

it looks like folded top's bars interfere with secret compartment's door/windblocker.

in top up position - no problem.

folded top looks similar to this:

is this normal?

if not - would really appreciate pictures of yours so i can show the dealer how it's supposed to be.

Thx,
Gennady

no your top didn't fold right. when the top is up you will see a bar above your head. when putting the top down push this bar towards the back of the car and it will fold right. then your compartment will open all the way.

i have to say that it's really hard to me to decide whether the top goes down or not.
i guess in this case it's not too high - so this is OK

That bar is supposed to fold under the top fabric when lowered. Mine started doing the same thing once I got the top replaced last year. I think an elastic piece is stretched out so it doesn't pull that bar into the right position when lowering the top. Easiest way to deal with it is to just nudge the bar down while your top is lowering if you need to get into the hidden compartment. Better way is to replace the elastic piece.

OK - this exactly is the problem - straps although stretched they don't pull back first bar.

if i push it back manually it folds differently and secret compartmen's door opens fully.

shall i ask dealer to fix straps - drill out rivets and put new ones?
or it's better to save possibe damage and just get Modifry's straps?

The straps are part of the frame, not the soft top. Unless your '07 is under the 3/36 Honda warranty, Honda will likely not replace them for free. I'd try either Modifry or an OEM one online from Majestic Honda (I think it's #38, $12 each).
