Default Doors are misaligned

When I bought my car my doors didn't fit right. Not to the extent where they're leaking, they're just off. Especially the passenger side. I'm assuming this happened when the previous owner repainted the car and took the doors off. So I want to fix it because it looks like poop. Anyone know how to repair something like this? Do I just take off the doors and go trial and error?

you basically put a floor jack under the door, then loosen the hinges, adjust the door to where you want it by moving the jack, then tighten the hinges when you get it right. You will then adjust the striker bar (silver metal object screwed into the rear door pillar) that gets clamped by the door latch if it has to be aligned with the door.

I recently had an issue where my door would rise up a few millimeters as the door latched, this caused the glass to rub against my hardtop as soon as the door closed. I only had to adjust the striker bar lower and this prevented the door from rising upwards as it closed, if it needed more adjustment I would have had to play with the door hinges as well but I was lucky to get away with the one adjusment. I also moved the striker bar inwards a tad to get the glass to close tighter against the window seals, which also helped reduce a wind-noise issue that I had.
