Securing my S2k
So I live in this apartment complex, and my S2k (05 silverstone) is under an overhang. At least it's protected from the elements. Anyway, one of my neighbors told me there was a suspicious looking dude standing by this pole (overhang support pole) behind my S2k and my roommate's car. He was apparently there for about 10 minutes, and she said it seemed like he was analyzing my car.
This got me pretty worried. I had an Accord stolen a few years ago, and I do not want a repeat of that experience. I figure the car would probably not get stolen, because it isn't too common, it's a manual, it's alarmed, etc. Thieves mostly go for Accords and Camrys. It's still possible, and so I had LoJack installed when I got my car, and I use one of those brake pedal clubs at all times (except when driving
).
So I'm aware of two valuable targets on/in my car: the wheels and the seats. I've already ordered some wheel locks. I sent a PM to Kodakan as I've read he offers seat locks for the S2k.
Aside from that... anything else I should do? Maybe I should get a tire claw and steering wheel Club LX.
I don't want to go overboard here, but I just want my baby to be safe!

I have a bat next to my bed. I may one day get over having my last car towed out of the driveway.
Though if your car gets stolen who cares, insurance pays out and you live to see another day. Don't worry so much about it.

Yep. 2 way alarm with proximity sensor and car cover with lock. Since there is a pole near by, get a big chain and chain the car to the pole.
p.s. low jack helps gettings your car back after they ripped everything from it.

I just got the viper 5901 and i Love it. It isnt cheap the dealer is going to have to add 3 modules one for the power locks ($75), one for the immobilizer (100) and one for the clutch(100, only if you want remote start). After everything it was about $750. It is a sweet alarm i have it on sensitive, and when i do a rough rubbing motion on the top as if i was cutting it or something, the alarm sounds.
Dig a moat around your car and keep the moat stocked with alligators. Install 10 foot fences around the moat with razor wire. Hire 10 armed guards to patrol this fenced in area 24/7.
If you ask me, this is not overkill for s2000 security.
