I have purchased a used s2k and don't have any special users manual for the security system. Having read many posts, I have a Honda system - key fob has "option" key and a red security light is next to the hand brake.

Questions:

What can the option button do besides open the trunk?

My car horn did not beep when I was pressing the lock key twice, the dealer got it to beep, but it does it on the first press. Beep once for lock and twice for unlock, but both on the first press of the button.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Mike in SC - waiting on spring to get here!

It sounds like you have the Honda Security System. If I can find my book I can fax you the pages. The option button is used to set up the horn feature or the silent feature.
You can't get it to honk on the second time like you are wanting (or at least I don't think you can).

I'll look for my book!

Thanks for any help - the users manual for the S2000 specifically mentions the second click/horn beep option, but that may be on the regular fob, not the one with the security system.

If you find any thing, my fax is 864-242-1819 - thanks.

I know I had my keys in my pocket and took them out to press the disarm button and it disarmed silently. I know for a fact it was armed because I heard the rearming beep. I tried to reproduce it but couldn't figure it out. It probably has something to with that option button and it may have been pressed while I was taking my keys out.
