Default Seeking ADVICE with car warranty.

I'm looking to buy an aftermarket warranty for my S, besides the Honda warranty. Does anyone know of a reputable company on the net I could buy from? I'm looking for a low price, but the company has to be reputable that when my car breaks, it won't screw me around. Much thanks and appreciation!

All aftermarket warranties are basically just insurance policies. They won't tell you that (they might if you specifically ask) but they are treated as such. Therefore, any claims you make will be scrutinized much more so than even Honda generally scrutinizes their own manufacturerers warranty. You might get a salesman to suggest differently but I don't think you'll find an aftermarket warranty company that will just sign off on repairs, especially if the warranty is inexpensive. These comments are just my opinion. However, I've had a fair amount of dealings with my dealer and my aftermarket warranty vendor, and also spoken to several others with aftermarket warranties to form these views.

Bought MY01 from a GM dealer who also owns some Honda dealerships
His extended warranty was better than one from AAA's I was considering
Don't know anything about the Hardtop Guys?

The best aftermarket warranty I've ever seen is through JM&A. I too am a Honda Dealer, but we do not sell Honda warranties because the JM&A stuff is far superior.

The only downside is that it is more expensive. The Gold and Platinum packages cover more than the original factory warranty.

I have the Gold package on my car for 4 years/48,000 miles that started when my factory warranty ran out (last month). If your miles are low, it is a very affordable warranty (along the lines of Honda's) because the S2000 is rated by JM&A to have a relatively low maintenance cost. I also have GAP Insurance through them and their wheel and tire package - I've used this twice in the past 2 months (paid for itself on the first use). JM&A also covers certain Super Chargers

Here is a brief description of what they have: JM&A products page.

If you do decide to purchase the Honda warranty through Hardtopguy (Ganley Honda), I'm sure Jeff and Joe will take excellent care of you - the difference between Jeff & Joe and myself is that they are strong on the Parts and Service side - I'm mainly Sales and F&I.
