Hi just wondering what weave does seibon have?? Cause i bought a seibon hood and trunk..


But lately i've been checking out for other parts and notice there is a difference in the weave??

Can some one clear me up on this, and post pics of the different weaves!

They do both, but unless you specify, it is usually 2x2 weave. The best way to tell is to find some one with other carbon parts and compare. A 1x1 is a smaller, tighter weave. And the 2x2 looks a little more blocky.

 

Seibon is 2x2 weave and is stepped looking as if flows diagonally.

1x1 weave is smaller and looks like squares and does not flow diagonally but is more symetrical.

 

OIC do you guys know if J's or mugen or even chargespeed also have the 1x1 or 2x2 option?

 

J's and Mugen is all 1x1 weave.

 

seibon varies from time to time. its whatever supply they can get at the time of manufacturing. sometimes its the 2x2, but lately they been coming out with a 1.5x1.5 i guess you can say. its bigger than the 1x1 but smaller than the 2x2 weave.

 

damm.. should of check this out before buying seibon.. i kinda don't want to have carbon parts with different weave on my car..

some of seibons stuff is actually 1x1, i think only the mugen style wing though for the s2k
