Default seibon hoods

so i hear that the yellowing issue is hit and miss.. i just ordered an mg hood so i'm wondering if i should just go to a body shop and get it clear coated with some real clearcoat. first of all, is that possible on top of whatever coat is on there? and secondly how much would that cosT?

I dont think the clear coat will help (It might make it last a little longer, but wont stop it ) I think they mostly change color due to the Gel Coat breaking down (due to heat and the sun beating down on it), but even un-coated CF will change color (fade) over time.

I would probably just leave the hood alone and after the color starts to fade just paint it to match the car

To clear a hood it depends on where you go you could probably find a shop to do it for 100 to 150.00 bucks (less if you have a hook up).

If exposed to direct sunlight without proper care for long periods of time, then yes!
