I've had three diffrent brands of carbon fiber hoods, and all the finishes break down in about a year. I currently have a seibon hood and trunk and there both doing it even after I had it clear coated again. It took about 6 months for it to do it again. The only way to fix it is if you could strip it down so it totally bear, and the clear it again. If not even when you sand it down and clear it again, the fresh coat is just going to reflect the base which will break down in time.

so can CF hoods be repainted to match your body and look just as good and last as long after they start fading?
