I would not sell "my" s2000 for it. but everyones car is particualar to them. But a general opionion would be that i doubt the new type R would give you the same feeling.

2 very different cars. Really depends on what you want and need. If it was a daily then the Type R would maybe make more sense. More practical 4 seats better storage. The cost difference is the obvious thing here but setting that aside it really comes down to which car would fit your needs better. If it is a weekend car I think the S is a better candidate.

The type R looks sick, but for that price tag I won't touch it until they get AWD

You're comparing apples and oranges... there's also an entire separate debate on what has become of the Civic in general - I personally think it's a complete design FAIL.

I agree with the styling/design comment.
Not worth it in my option. FWD is a whole different story.
They should have made it AWD to compete with Focus RS, Golf R, STI/WRX etc.

I wouldn't sell my S2000 for any other vehicle. I'll have it till it gets totaled, stolen, burned up, etc.. And then I would probably get another one. Or unless I can't get in and out of it anymore, which at this rate, might take another 40 or 50 years.

Like everyone else has said: apples and oranges.
