Sell s2000 for type R?
Go drive the CTR and make the call based on that - drive your S2k to the dealership so you can drive them back to back. I bought a focus ST about a year ago and have absolutely loved it! The turn-in is better than my AP2, and even though it is a lot slower (my S is supercharged) it has a ton of torque and seems to stick to the road extremely well - I almost have more confidence in the ST on the street than my S, simply because FWD is so predictable and on the limit the tail won't kick out.
I don't think it would be the worst thing if I had to get rid of my S and only drive the ST, but the S is definitely more special to drive and a ton of fun.
The CTR is a step above the Focus ST, so I would imagine that you would get a huge kick out of the CTR, especially if your S isn't modified.
In summary-go drive the CTR and your S back to back, mull it over a while and then make the call. You can't go wrong either way.

As much as I love my s2k I'm really thinking about selling my car to get a CTR. I work at a honda dealership and we sold our black one for msrp. I'm sure i'll regret selling the s2000 but I need something more practical for daily driving.
I was in the market for the civic type r. The looks of the car are very polarizing. You either hate or like it. The s2000 is a car that looks beautiful as it ages, hence it will become a classic. I'm glad Honda is making the civic type r as Honda need to step up their game in the enthusiast market. It is the package where you get performance and practicality. Maybe one day I'll get one, but for MSRP, and many dealerships selling at ADM. I think the s2000 is the better choice. Can;t beat that drop top feeling and N/A vtec motor.
Anyone else notice the new previews of the upcoming Accord 2.0L? Looks like it's based on the same engine as the CTR (VTEC only on exh side, turbo, etc.).
All the videos of the CTR are impressive and so are its' Nurburgring times. Which only means the upcoming S2000 gotta be good.

Where do you guys get the news about the new S2000? I have been keeping hearing it for the past few years and as time goes by, nothing happens.
The only car I would considering selling my S2000 is the 1st gen NSX.
