Just poking the fire

Doesn't sound like a bad price to me. I can't wait to see the high-schoolers sliding all over the roads. Coming to a neighborhood near you...

I don't know, that sound low to me.

mileage is really low and if it looks good, it really doesn't matter if it's 10 years old, it should hold it's value just on the low mileage.

i would of gone up few more thousands. $19,000 would be little high, but doable cost.

Thanks for all the responses.

The miles are low because I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee as a daily driver, work a mile from home, and garage it in the winter.

The hardest part of the sale is knowing for $16,700 I cannot replace the car with a similar s2k. The bonus is my insurance rates will be reduced dramatically and I will no longer have car payments.

It is going to be hard to say goodbye to such a well built automobile. Nothing comes close for around 16k as far as I'm concerned.

My sportscars rarely get driven more than 4k miles a year. I have a daily driver and the car is in the garage most of the winter. If you live in colder climates, this is not unusual.

you got a great price for your car. Manheim auction will fetch $12-13k. just hope that the buyer will show up with $16200 before he changes his mind!
Manheim on that car in good shape with those miles is probably more towards the 14-15k range. Regardless, I think you got a fair price.

f that, that's too low. I wouldn't take < $18k for a lo-mile 02. these cars are getting TOO cheap, and cheap = ricerfest. ugh.

I'd research the eBay site, and others, for advice on ensuring a truly verified payment...I think I'd insist on cash. There are a lot of scam artists out there...
