I just want to say hello to eveyone. I will be an owner of the S soon. I owned a 93 Mazda RX7 since '99 but really never enjoy the car because of the reliability issues. Always got a daily driver all these years. Got to a point where now I don't want to worry anymore. Life is too short and I want to enjoy it while I can. The car is getting a new clutch on Monday and it will be on Autotrader by Friday.
I have been reading all the posts on this site for the last 3 weeks. Learned a few things and decided to get a used 04 because of the few changes to the car and 2.2 liters with more torque @ lower RPM.
I test drove 2 so far and love it. Not as fast as my RX7 but the S is not bad at all. And it definitely will be more reliable. I am HOPING to get one for $25K cash + TAX. I know I may have to pay alittle extra. Well I better stop talking. Just want to say hi.

 

Nice. I just ditched my '94 FD too. What's the point of a car if I can't drive it and enjoy it? It was issue after issue with that piece of crap.


I just picked up a '02 s2k and am loving it. You will too.

 

 

I spended so much money on that car and when I added up all the bills I want to cry. I like the FD(RX7) because it beautiful and rare. Well S2k is beautiful , rare, convertible, and RELIABLE.

 

Welcome!! I hope you get the S!! I gave up my SC400 for the S. I miss the comfy ride on long trips, but the attention and fun factor in driving the S more than makes up for it. Actually, I didn't give up my sc400 for the s2000, my little bro wanted the sc400 so bad, that I just gave it to him, otherwise, I'll have the S and the sc400!!

Funny, I'm looking to sell or trade my '93 for an S2000 as well. I'm not rich enough for an '04 though, lucky.
