Selling the S for another type of S

I'm sorry, this is one of the dumber things I've read on S2ki lately.
What you are essentially saying is that if the Boxster was $5k more than the Cayman, instead of vice versa, that the Cayman would be the entry level Porsche, and the Boxster would be the continuation of the line? Come on man.
They are both great cars, but a Cayman essentially IS a Boxster with a roof, and has all the advantages of the roof. Just like a 911 Coupe is a 911 Cab with a roof, and the 911 coupe is a little faster and handles a little better; it doesn't make it a significantly different car, it just proves the basic characteristics of open car versus closed coupe.
Anyway, I love both the Boxster and the Cayman, but since convertible is a must for me, just like the OP, I'd stick with the Boxster, and the BS is one of the few cars I'd trade my S for.
Congrats on the purchase, Jeci.

I got it and am very happy with it. All my expectations and more.

My wife really wants a Boxster S.
But I don't want to trade in my SC S2k for one.
