Default Sensors

Given the multitude of problems with the height of the S2000 "chin" and the prevalent difficulty in judging distance from a high curb or parking stop barrier, has anyone installed or adapted electronic proximity sensors?

Please let me know and if afirmative include brand and model number as well as any pertinent instructions or suggestions on installation procedure.

Thank You,

Arturo

When you think you're still a foot away from the curb STOP NOW. That is all. I've never see this mod on an S but sounds interesting.

I mean, learn the dimentions of your vehicle - its not that hard to pay attention... I guess you could put some curb feelers on the front of you S is you need the assistance...

Have you spent your whole 2 week time on s2ki researching this or something? I can't even recall having read any threads regarding hitting the curb and not being able to judge distances........

I thought about how easy would be to curb the front lip as soon as I got the car. Then I realized that the s2000 is like 2 feet shorter than any car I've owned, so even if I dont pull all the way up to the curb I'm not sticking out.

Seriously, just don't pull up that far.

I find that if I look at the bottom of the side mirror and see the edge of the curb, I'm close to the curb but not too close.
You may want to test where the curb is compared to your own mirror, because I'm not even 5 foot nothing.

This is the same method I use too. Works perfectly.

Or better yet, back in - its faster and safer, plus you won't scrape your lip.

This might help unless your trying to protect your lip because it's not made for that.
