Where do some of the members obtain their cars' serial #s?
Oh and please don't tell me the last four digits of the vin.

OK, I won't tell you that it's the "last four digits ot the vin", since the link to the FAQ's tell you that it's the last six digits of the vin. BUT, since Honda hasn't broken into the fifth digit field, yet. The last four digits, so far, is the correct answer.

Ok, you should know that when Honda puts a serial # plate on its cars, it has nothing to do with vin. It's a happy # for the owners that is independent of anything else. Like a name for your car. I think it's silly to use your vin. Also I am sure that it is not a good idea to post the very digits that are specific to your car on the internet if you know what i mean.

NO!

That is my question though. Read my sig. The Integra Type R has a plate with a meaningless # on it which a random but specific # that my ITR is associated with. Using vin # is specifit to one's car but it doesnt signify limited edition or any other uniqueness of their car. No more than it does in the Ford Escort owners' forum.
