I was thinking about selling my 1990 honda accord when I baught my S but now I think I will keep it as a commuter. my 1990 honda accord has 143,343Miles on it. I;ve had the car for 3 months now and it still has 143,343miles on it. (Might have something to do with the Speedometer not working/hooked up.....lol) Just disconnect your Speedometer cable and you wont' put any miles on your car.

i think it might be good for 200k miles. but i would start now, plus s2000 isnt the best comuter car. half an hour inside of it my ass is bleeding inside out
Yep just keep up the maintenance and you'll be rollin' for a good while.

But on a side note, what the hell are you sitting on? I think you need to go to a doctor and have your bunghole checked out...

I have 110k miles on my S and it's still running strong. A buddy of mine (not a member of this board) has 160k miles and it's still running like a champ. All he does is keep up with the fluid changes. I had a 1995 Integra that had 250,000 miles on it and it's still running. My dad uses it as a commuter. You should be fine.

OCMusicJunkie, wow me and you have the same situ.

Although i got my05 with 13k back in march of 06 and as of today i just hit 60k. Its my DD and every weekend i drive 70mines to go see my g/f. So in about a week i drive roughly 400miles or more.

anyways, it would be best to get a cheap commuter. Im in a process of look for a decent one.

Out of curiousity, would you mind letting us know approximately what you and your friends fluid change intervals are? I'm assuming you are probably changing them more frequently than Honda's recommendations (such as 7500+ for oil). Also, are you both still on the original equipement (tranny, enginge, diff, etc)? Probably a clutch change?

Keep on and keep us posted!

I just have to make sure I tell the new owner, if I decide to sell it. I wasn't the one who disconnected it, it was like that when I baught it. The only way I can think to fix it is to take apart the dash (which seems like a lot of a work).

I drive 100 miles a week My car is a 00 with only 70k miles (most were from original owner).

Modifry finally lost his bottom end at 181k miles, and 120k I believe were supercharged (non aftercooled too). This is a tough car, just take care of it
