Default Service Costs for 15K

What was the price of the service check at 15K miles that you paid, if you took your car back to the dealer to have it preformed?

15,000 mi/24,000 km/1 yr Scheduled Maintenance

Check front and rear brake
Inspect the tie rod ends, steering gear box, and boots
Inspect the suspension components
Inspect the driveshaft boots
Check parking brake adjustment
Lubricate all hinges, locks, and latches
Inspect the brake hoses and lines (including ABS)
Inspect all fluid levels and condition of fluids
Inspect the exhaust system#
Inspect the fuel lines and connections#
Inspect lights and controls
Inspect vehicle underbody

Change the oil...

John Eagle Honda here in Dallas wants $288.00 plus tax for this work...
Just seeing if that is out line...or just a "normal" price...

Thanks

That sure seems like a lot of money for them to lubricate all hinges, locks, latches and change the oil. Hehe.

Yes, that is the going rip-off rate. Change your own oil and lubricate your own hinges.

get it done at an independent mechanic. your warranty will NOT be compromised.

they charge that much to inspect things because 90% of honda owners do not have any idea of what is going on. This service is maybe 45minutes labor, and "clean hand" labor at that.

I had my 15K mile service done here in San Diego at Hoehn Honda for $89.00.

I can't believe that anyone would have to pay over $100.00 for the 15K service.

Most of those items are covered in New York state by our yearly safety inspection. The inspection is about $20. An oil change runs about $25. Like the others said, that's an expensive oil change.
