This is a fun one. the Duel at De Anza. It's a fundraiser event at De Anza junior college for the automotive engineering group. Open to the public, you just need to show up early and get in line. It's like $20 and you can borrow a helmet. Even if you don't race it's usually really fun to just go watch. Bring a Lawn chair and a cooler. This attracts all kinds, from fast sports cars the the family grocery getter.

It would be fun, but you gotta be there before 7am on Sunday, and limit is 275 cars. If it fills up your assed out. People recommend being there at 5-6am, OUCH. $15 bones registration, check out link in BayareaS2k forum.
