Nowhere in the article do I see where the S2000 outdoes Porsche.

People (as well as the author of this article) are so quick to spew bullsh!t proclaiming that a car is the best instead of simply giving solid reasons why a car was the best for them.

Furthermore, the author contradicts himself... He rules out most Porsches as sports cars because they don't have the engine in the front, but then he praises Honda for developing the NSX, which apparently is "a sizzler of a sports car," despite having the engine behind the driver.

The article is nothing special, it's just one man's opinion of the car. I tend to have a similar opinion (although, probably for different reasons), as I own an S2000 and love it. But the fact is, the S2000 is not the best car in the world as there is no one best car. Personally, there are plenty of other cars I enjoy and have interest in. However, the S2000 IS the best car for me given my criteria (read needs and interests).

Maybe the author should have explained why it was his car of choice.

Maybe people shouldn't consider an author's opinion as a victory of one car over another.

You are both full of it. The S is a fine vehicle, great performance with great value. That's really all the article says. Basically, it says that the S is no poseur.

Basically the Porche is not appreciatively better than the S2000 to make the initial cost and ownership cost of owning the porsche worth the price tag.

Also, I'm not sure how the rest of the US is but in this area no one really has respect for Porsche owners. They are all thought of as pricks who think they are badasses because they paid too much for a car and needed an ego boost. I'd rather have a Lotus Elise than an Porsche S because I care about performance and VALUE, not name and status symbols.

You're an ass, Trivium. All you do is belittle other people's contributions to this forum. You also have a tendency to belittle the S2000 and praise other cars. If you don't like the S2000, why do you own one?

The OP wasn't doing anything wrong; just giving out articles that people can choose to ignore or read. If you don't have anything constructive to say, STFU.
