I had a neon swerve past me (barely missing me)....and it wasn't an srt4. And then 2 mins later I had some guy in an Impala ride my ass while I was going 10 over....
I don't think it has anything to do with my car.....just jackass drivers.

Easiest way to deal with that is to let them pass. If there is some reason they can't pass (one-lane road, for instance, with no passing zone), then just drive your own car and let them worry about theirs. Driving "in your mirrors" is a good way to crash.

What is "riding your bumper" for one person may be "comfortably far away" for another person. I know my tolerance for close-in driving is much higher than most people, due to my experience with it on the track. I've been just driving along, not intending any aggression toward anyone, and suddenly realise that some other driver thinks I'm aggressively riding him or even racing him. All because what seems like close and fast to him seems like slow and comfortably separated to me.

Again, I live on a rural country hwy, there are a lot of slow drivers, my wife is one of them sometimes. She used to get upset about people following her too close and trying to pass in bad places, I told her to drive however she was comfortable and look for the 1st opportunity to pull over and let them by but DON'T get upset about it. She's fallen into that mode and it suites her well. There are some drivers that are just IDIOTS and will attempt passes on blind corners, passing 4-5 cars at one time w/out room, or just riding your ass w/out any good reason. There are also a lot of deaths on that hwy, young drivers, drunk drivers, stupid drivers, sleeping drivers, Ice, snow, etc....it's not worth it to play games on the road. Even in my S if someone is being particularly stupid, I don't try to engage in hwy shenanigans but pull over and let them by. I tend to get upset w/dumb drivers so it serves me well to pull over and let them by and cool off a bit. Both my older kids wrecked they're 1st cars on that road and both are better drivers because it taught them a good lesson. Though the girl had to wreck a couple before the point was driven home, she's lucky as a couple of her school mates weren't as lucky and the funeral really sobered her up.
