shift boot help

Default shift boot help

how do you make it touch the knob? any DIY and picture would be helpful beacuse im a visual person. i tired searching for DIY in the library but search doesnt seem to be wokring in that section

to make it look like this

I seem to remember a thread where a guy used the rubber washer from a garden hose under the boot the keep it up.

I used a zip tie. I took off the center console and zip tied the top of the boot from the inside.

Well, ftr, I just unscrewed my knob, put my finger into the boot leather, and pulled the extra leather that was folded down almost all the way out - leaving just a little bit left so it was tight over the shifter. I then just tuckd the leather down around the edges of the shift gates and screwed the knob back on and my leather sits real high next to the knob now. Its actually kind of annoying because the leather can get caught under your finger when you shift, but it looks good.
