Anyone got any clear instructions to install a shift boot on an AP1? Can it really be as difficult as the instructions on ricks site? I saw instructions for an AP2 and it just bolted right on, do I really need to drill just to get a shift boot on...?

 

you don't have to drill, i chipped away at it with an xacto knife. took a while lol. would have been easier with a dremel. the hardest part for me were the pins actually... needle nose pliers are a must.

 

It's much easier and quicker to use a drill.

 

Yea, thats the only hard part. I've done it on 2 cars and used a dremel once, and then a drill. Just be careful, take your time.

 

I don't own a drill, not gonna buy one either just to install a shit boot.
