I will stop by the dealer and check out the other knob. I will decide then. I think that the new one will fit my hand better. The titanium one seems kind of small.
By the way, anyone knows if the shift can be shortened?

I think the titanium one and the nwe leather wrapped ones are probably the same size. As for shortening the shifts, you can get a voodoo knob that's countersunk.

I went to the dealer and exchanged the titanium knob for the 2002 with leather. I looks better and feels better (and it is not as cold in the mornings!)
Thanks again for your replies.

Actually, you probably paid for the Ti shift knob and so you should be able to keep that as well as get the leather wrapped knob for your car since it came with. When I got my '00 S2000 I got the Ti knob option but kept the original knob too since I paid for both. Also kept the original emblems and the original key fobs as I upgraded to the black chrome emblem kit and security system. You are supposed to get the option to keep all original parts when you pay to upgrade to an option.

p.s. go back and demand your option you paid for (unless they gave you the Ti shift knob by accident)

The Ti knob that was installed on your car is a common "forced option" to increase the selling price over sticker. Check your sales contract. You probably paid EXTRA for it. The dealer may owe you some money if you switched back to the original wrapped shifter. Not much money involved but you should get something in return.

My '02 shifter was left over from just such an "upgrade". My '00 was in the shop for nearly four months due to a botched TSB 55 service. The dealer gave me the knob along with a new'02 tranny, eventually.
