For the guys with Voodoo knobs and Type R fans.
Didn't want to engrave the knob but wanted to keep a visible shift pattern indicator. Had an aluminum plate made up but used the "R" from the Type R in place of Reverse.

Bob, the funny thing is I've had a couple of instances where I forgot where "R" was (two other cars have it next to 1st)

xvip, where did you get it made? Can it be smaller? A lot smaller?

Go to an engraver. You can have it in whatever size you want. Remember the shift plate the '60's Vette? It was bigger than this. Just provide them with a picture of what you want.
If somebody's gonna steal your car, getting this close and seeing this plate won't be what decides it for 'em.
As far as remembering the pattern, with all this Aluminum in the car, Alzheimers could set in. (Besides, the occassional time the wife drives it - a reminder)
