Default Shifted into wrong gear

I was going about 100 in 5th gear and shifted into 4th instead of 6th and it over revved. Is that really bad for the transmission?

Hope you didn't bend a valve, cause if you did your gonna need to get a loan from the bank to fix it.

White smoke from the exhaust, rough itle and the check engine light are the usual signs. Lacking that, you might have gotten lucky.

100 in 4th is fine [in a pre 04, anyway]. Not a whole lot more than that, though.

Redline in 4th gear for my 2002 model is around 120 mph. I know it's different for 2005, but are you sure there was an overrev at 100 mph? You might be worried about nothing.

Your check engine light would have come on if any serious damage had occured. You should be fine.
