I'm pretty sure that i did not shift into 2nd. Like of of the member said above, i might have shifted into neutral and not notice it and gased it. Would that cause it to flash if i gave too much gas?

I think that an experienced driver attempting to shift from 5th to 6th, is more likely to passively mis-shift from 5th to 4th than to actively mis-shift from 5th to 2nd.
What about an INexperienced one? You know, the one who has NEVER driven a standard and then buys an S2000. The type of person who gets in and wonders which position the stick must be in to be in "D".

If you shifted the car into second at 100mph you would have locked up the rear wheels. Ask me how i know

Since you have not mentioned nearly loosing control of the car, which would happen with a misshift into 2nd at 100mph, i am assuming that that didnt happen. A misshift into neutral would not have the same drastic affect on the balance of the car.

Actually now that i've given it a bit more thought, your wheels may not have locked up. It would depend on your clutch and how grippy it is in comparison to your tires.

In the Grey Ghost with an ACT Pressure Plate OEM disk and Toda flywheel i can break the grip of 285 racing slicks with a misshift into 2nd from the top of 3rd.

while were on subject i accidently downshifted to 3rd going about 80 ish instead of 4th gear for a fraction of a second.... one of those i know i just shifted into the wrong gear but i still did it. im guessing its possible to mess up the valve train like said , but just asking cause it didnt seem too severe.

Yea, I figured i didnt shift into second because if i did, i probably would have like slowed down a lot. But if there is no way that i could have redlined at around 100 in 4th, then i must have shifted into neutral and gased it.

you would not necessarily feel the car slow down a lot.

your clutch may have been slipping. if you are confident enough that you did NOT shift into 2nd, then you're fine. if not, it'd be worth getting the head pulled to check out the valve train.
