4K typically, though if I'm just cruising I'll go into 6th around 45-50 to save gas. 1st and 2nd see 9K on a daily basis just to get it out of my system

When I'm driving normally, no point in wasting gas and putting extra wear and tear on the car by driving it hard. I save that for the weekends. I always keep the rpms above 2000 rpms. First and second I pretty much always shift 3-4k, but the higher gears I shift out of at even 2.5k-3k.

er..... it varies with traffic load, air temp, road gradient, mood, etc etc etc... its senseless to quantify shift point at different gears

shift by feel.. 90% of the time i dont even pay attention to the RPM

the only hard "rule" i have is i dont go into 6th below 45mph... no throttle response + feels like it lugs the motor

45? can you even get into 6th at 45 without it stalling? My rule is 60, I don't like to go below 3K. Then with a little pressure to the gas pedal she picks up like a v-8

I usually shift between 3500-4k, anything lower and the car feels dead when going through the gears. I usually drive like a grandma though.
