yea after reading this you know what? YOUR ALL LYING!!!! 3-4k my ass i bet all of you take it to redline and just dont want to admit it :hMpH! hAHAHAhAhAH justkiddin guys yea i notice that the last time i put it the full tank and drove granny style it saved me so much gas. I could go for4 days wit the meter still being full. I just put another full tank yesterday and i decided to drive like a maniac like eveyrone is racing me and just a lil ago im down 4 bars AHAHAHAH damn i got ownt. back to grany style

between 3-3.5k here. thats all i need to keep up with traffic, and why waste gas? higher gears even 2.8k. but this motor does not like to be prodded while under 2.5k. you need to be smooth with the go pedal in that range.

short drives or not, have you never been on the highway with your s? i don't see the point in cruising in 5th gear if you don't have to. it has to be noisy as hell and you're wasting gas, honda included a 6th gear for a reason.

I shift when my dash starts flashing , otherwise 4-5k.

well of course when i'm trying to have fun then these #'s go out the window. but in the case of normal daily driving where i'm not trying to have fun or race anyone, saving gas doesn't seem like that bad of an idea.
