Still have the intermittent 2-3 catching thing. I removed all the free play from the clutch pushrod last week and for a day and half the problem was gone then it came back. I only adjsted the clutch pushrod and not the "clutch fully depressed" or "Clutch fully engaged" sensors. Honday says the clutch is "self adjusting" what does "self adjusting" mean? Should I have adjusted the sensors too?

Additionally, what part of the clutch/transmission assembly is the clutch pushrod? I guess what I'm asking is, where in the transmission does this part lie and what role does it play/why would it be beneficial to decrease play??

I took my 2003 in and had my dealer check it out the roughness I have on the 2-3 shift. They gave me a copy of a technical service bulletin from Honda saying this is normal on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts when the gearbox is cold. Problem is, mine does it when warm too. I plan on complaining again...

Hey another WA member welcome! I don't think I have a grind....I think this is way normal but im so paranoid all the time. Well this happens when I go from 3rd to 4th to but sometimes when I do shift from 1st to 2nd, I make a nice clean shift and hear like a lil noise like a gentle clunk sound (nothing awful or anything) as the gear goes in. So today, I was shifting with the car off just for fun with no engine noise and you can hear the gears going into each gear and every gear even 5th and 6th gets that small clunk so I guess it is normal. I guess its a lil more noticable on 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 4th while your driving. When I think about it, it usually happens at the beggining of my drive and then fades off for the most part.

So how does this grinding noise sound like?? When I had my 300zxTT they were notorious for gear grinds espicially in 5th. I mean you shift to 5th and get this like awful grinding sound. No such sounds on my s2k. The shifting just feels so perfect and natural. I'm sure that lil clunk sound is normal.

I thought power shifting was shifting without using the clutch and speed shifting was shifting without letting off on the gas.
