I grease mine every 4 months. I just went to autozone and bought some generic silicone grease....as long as it says its safe for rubber and vinyl it should be fine. My rubber seals feel a lot softer than when I picked it up used.

I think Shin-itsu is just silicone incorporated into a white grease emulsion. Unless there is some other "secret ingredient, I can't imagine why it would be any better than any other simular product.
I have a tube of shin-itsu and it only describes it as silicone grease.

I bought a tube of Shin-Etsu grease a year ago and probably only used less than 5% of it. It'll last the whole life of the car. =p

, 6 years later and mine is still over half full. I've even shared it with other owner's cars too!!!

Buy the real deal from HandA Acessories for $12. The dealers want a rediculous amount for it usually.

I would suggest just buying the real stuff. It's not that expensive.
