Default Shipping a car across country

I plan on buying a new '03 and then shipping it across the country (there aren't any new red '03s in the California area that I can find). What transport company would you recommend?

Thanks

www.dasautoshippers.com

Starts at $895, and depending on how you want it shipped, etc., it goes up from there. It's all pretty self-explanatory when you go to the website...!

www.carmoves.com (aaa advantage auto transport) I've used them for three cars from Ca to Pa (and vise versa)and noooooooo problems. Shouldn't cost more than 7-800. Whomever you use make sure they are fully insured!

I had a bad experience with DAS. I had to call their customer service number multiple times to establish exactly where my car was and when it might actually ship ( their tracking system was broken ). Their customer service was extraordinarily poor. I eventually got the car....several days late. Also, somewhere along the path, someone managed to "spin" the rear tires on something that didn't give (like metal gratings) because there were grooves gouged out of the tires (two local tire shops reviewed the problem and came to the same independant conclusion). I shipped from New Jersey to California. I will NOT use DAS again.
