Default Shipping a car from CA to MN

I am in the process of purchasing a car from CA and wanted to have it shipped here. Has anyone here had a car shipped? If so, who did you use? How much did it cost? I have heard good things about Golden Key. Also, he has stock parts (stock wheels/suspension/tail lights etc) to go along with the car, anyone have any idea how to get those to me, might just have to ship them.

Thanks in advance!

Ask god... aka google.com. I was going to ship a car from New York to MN. It was about $800 open trailer and $1500 closed. Never did it though. Just google car transport services and get accurate quotes.

Definitely googled it and have seen many different companies and have checked several out on BBB... DAS has a grade of F, Horseless trailer has a grade of A...

My main problem are the stock items, which might also include a hood, trunk, fenders.

Also, just wanted to get some first hand opinions as opposed to reading random ones online

I've seen many on these forums write praise for FEDEX. No kidding. See:

I just shipped a car last month. Not quite as far as you.

These are the people to use.

Use their online quote for a quick quote and then give them a call. Nicole will probably pick up the phone. She is super nice. They have nothing but great reviews and now I know why. They are a broker like most companies out there. I got the best price from them as well.

Don't know if it will help but you can tell them Don with the black Acura MDX sent you.

I used FedEX a year ago to ship a old car to the East coast, they picked up and were very careful with it, driver spent some time with learning how to start it and drive it as he had never seen one before. Car got to its new owner in perfect condition and then the driver spent some time showing the new owner how to start it and drive it also. I was VERY pleased with FedEX, my only complaint is the the truck showed up 3 hours early to my house. A little earlier and I would have missed it.

But if its a S, I would fly out here and drive it home

I have a friend that does this for a living, shoot me a PM if you're interested. He's often in Cali and now that it's warming up I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing a MN trip.

when both my cars got shipped from atlanta to ft worth i used Reliable carriers
my dad restores and sells old mopars and he has used them countless times and never had a problem. no problems with shipping mine, they were very professional and took care of my cars. your car can even be slammed low because the lift is flat.

I'm thinking I may have to drive there and back with a buddy. The owner is including tons of stock parts (hood/fenders/trunk/front + rear bumpers/wheels etc) and I don't think any shipping company will let me ship those items along with the car.

I went through a company called Amerifreight who sets you up with a carrier. There was some mis-communication through them on when the car was to be picked up. However the company they put me through was enclosed auto transport. They were real good at fixing the mistakes Amerifreight did and got my car from Northern VA to Houston real fast and without a scratch. Only a little dusty but it was a covered trailer. I pay a little over $1000.
