Mar48, where is your CA S coming from? Did you buy via Autotrader? I just purchased the Autotrader Victorville 08 Silver/black S. i'm also looking for a carrier to St. Louis, MO. Considering Curves Ahead.

I'm thinking I may have to drive there and back with a buddy. The owner is including tons of stock parts (hood/fenders/trunk/front + rear bumpers/wheels etc) and I don't think any shipping company will let me ship those items along with the car.
I drove back to MN from Cali last summer. Aside from doing it in 28 hours (didn't sleep much. Got a little sketchy at the end...), it was gorgeous for the first 3/4 of the trip. Definitely would be fun in an S2k. But you'd have to stop fairly often for gas as the tank isn't that big.

I drove there and back in less than 4 days! But anyway long story short ended up having to ship the car, but I got all the stock parts during the trip. If you have the time I would drive there and back (I drove through MO on the way there so it shouldn't be bad for you). In gas, my tribeca averaged about 20 miles per gallon. It was 4000 miles round trip so gas was about $600. For you it will be less.

For shipping the car if you don't have the time, I would pm rsxbuilt (that's who I used) he is a broker, and you basically give him a price you think is fair ($800 for open trailer, $1500 for enclosed). Or you can go through ProStar, that's another place I have heard great things about.

Good luck
