The way you describe the civic owners and their cars, I can say about plenty of S2000 owners and their cars - even when the car was $35k.

The older and more affordable used S2000's become...the more "ricing" will be done to S2000's....sad reality. When you can buy a 2000 Honda S2000 for $5,000 (which is soon)....every 17 year old ricer will own one.
hopefully insurance will keep them away

[QUOTE=Saki GT,Apr 29 2010, 04:31 PM] There's a growing number of S2000 owners that have no interest in actually driving the car - they just want to pose and cruise and do photo shoots with their JDM bling anymore.

one of the main reason i walked away from the 240sx world. too many flat black ricers with cheap imitation wheels (sometimes actually nice wheels that cost 5x the car itself) that all think they can drift in dangerous public roads.

i'm starting to see that carrying over to some s2000s but hopefully like someone said insurance will keep a few of them out.

OP i know what your saying its a sad fact. I see tons of messed up hondas every day with cheap spoilers on their back and crappy body kits that dont fit or match. There nothing we can do except laugh

Liability-only insurance is cheap.

Who needs full coverage on a 10k car?

I'm really starting to believe that, like the NSX, the S2000 really can't be grouped in with the rest of the Hondas.
IMO it's only the price of admission that has made that statement hold for the past years. It's already changing with the price of used S's coming down.
