Thanks for all the input guys. Yeah he said he would install the airpump and clear the codes.

zhashmi sorry I dont know how I forgot the year, its a 2002.

I still think I'm gonna pass and look for one with about 90-100k miles. I'd like to get one for 10k or so, that way I have the cash for coils and wheels brand new and installed professionally. I'd rather black or white anyway, it's silver and my sti is silver I'm bored of it.

If you have to think about it, don't buy it and keep looking.

I would walk away. It sounds like a car that was modded on the cheap by someon who doesn't really care about the car. Plenty of non-modded S2000s out there, or even modded S2000s that were modded correctly.

^^This. Seems that they modded it without really looking into all of the repurcussions. If he could go down in price, it might be worthwhile as you can fix the issues with the leftover change.

If not, keep looking for one you want and don't settle.

Good luck.

Yeah, walk. No reason to buy this guy's problems. Sounds like he modded in ways that you or any other person who cares about quality would not want. Like all the others have said, there are plenty of fish in the S2000 sea.

Thanks everybody, I'll send my next inquiry up here for another opinion. Glad I wasn't alone in being a little sketched by this one.

If it's common to burn oil in vtec in ap1s do a lot of you use a fairly heavy-weight oil? I'm in florida so I could use a heavier weight all year round with no problems about it being too cold/thick. Is this advised or just better to let it burn and keep topping off?
