See if there is a car your wife wants more than an s2k that you can afford. That way she gets another car she wants more, and you get a s2k, which you also want. That is unless you were looking for something newer than an 01.

We're expecting our first in May, and the RSX looks like it has to go favor of an SUV.
I hate that people assume that having a kid means it's time to sell the sport car and buy an SUV.

Not that an SUV isn't handy once you have kids but a 4 door sedan does just as well and is just as safe when you consider how much higher risk of rollover you get with an SUV....also a Sedan (like I4 Accord/TSX) does MUCH better on fuel.

geez you guys are rich$$$$ maybe i should find a wife so i can have more money just kidding.. i would say also to get a different car for space. it would be cool to have 2 s2000s but yeah trying to carry get bigger items into the S is a hassle. i have a 4door integra gsr and my S. i love the S but somedays i need room to get stuff! Im not talking bad about the s2000 cuz i love mine! lol

whatever you decide tho it doesn't matter what we think! it's what you want!

I have an 08 SI sedan, in addition to my CR, and it serves its purpose well. Good gas mileage, 4 doors, sporty "enough" for errands, and daily driving, etc.

It is not as fun as my s2k, but it is still a fun car to drive, and quicker then the S2k(in a straight line ) Over all I am happy with it.

What is your budget?

What do you have done to the SI to make it faster?

As for the OP: Unless your wife does want the S2000 (and thus you can't get something she'd prefer and then take the S) I'd go with something different. I think a 350z would be fun if I knew I also had the option of switching back and forth between it and an S2000. I test drove a 350 and I didn't care much for a lot of aspects about it, but if I could have one of each vs. two S2000s it's pretty much a no-brainer.

Been considering that for the wife, she currently has an 01 CL Type-S that used to be my car before I started driving pickup trucks. I used to think her car was sporty... boy was I wrong. I couldn't imagine only have the S, it is great for an extra car but I rely on the space and comfort of my crew cab pickup.
